The Israeli army announced that "forces from the Golani Brigade, with support from the 36th Division, carried out ground operations in southern Lebanon, resulting in the killing of eight Hezbollah members."
The army explained that "the operation came as part of a field activity aimed at expanding the scope of what it described as the forward security zone," noting that the clashes took place during raids in several locations, with air support.
He added, "The forces later found an underground tunnel opening, which he said was being used by party members, and destroyed it. He pointed out that weapons were seized inside the site, including anti-tank missiles, Kalashnikov rifles, machine guns, and hand grenades."
The Israeli army confirmed the continuation of its ground operations in southern Lebanon in light of the ongoing escalation on the border.
